Children Rescued

Late one night the local Police Hawaldars knocked on the doors of The House of Kathleen a home for the smallest children in our care. Along with the Hawaldars were 2 small girls, covered from head-to-toe in dirt and grime and bodies full of wounds and sores.

The children were found wandering about in search of food and a place to sleep the night out. A kindhearted person called up the police who then handed them over to us. Sannita, the elder sister, is 6 years old and was suffering from severe eye infection with swelling in her eyelids. She was taken to an eye clinic, where the doctor prescribed the necessary medicines. Neela, all of 5 years, look scared and hungry. Both were welcomed at El Shaddai with open arms into a loving home offering them comfort, companionship, food and a safe place to sleep.

Sannita and Neela now feel safe and happy. They are enjoying their new surroundings and new friends. They are quite enthusiastic and playful. Sannita and Neela however need continuous love and care.
