Two new children Shilpa ID 706 and Ritesh ID 709 have been admitted in the Home. As the Children had Christmas holidays for about a week from school, they had a good time playing and preparing for the Christmas season.
The children and the staff enjoyed attending the Christmas party held at Shanti Niketan School on 26th December 2009. Children enjoyed the beach outing programme every Saturday and Sunday.
Pooja ID 606 participated in the carol singing for the Christmas season. Children’s monthly birthday was celebrated. A Fire drill was conducted, the children and staff participated in the drill.
There were plenty of visitors and sponsors who visited the Home this month. Tony & Val Hall visited and brought Christmas gift for their sponsored child, Manjunath ID- 581. Volunteer Jim & Elaine came for a visit.
Jes Walkinson, visited their sponsored child, Christal ID 596 along with a birthday gift. John & Sandra came for a visit. Savio Sequira, Christine Fernandes, Michael & Francisco came and spent time with the children. Neil & Step Williams, child sponsor came with some gifts for Anjali ID 600. Maria from Anjuna came with a cake for the children. Katherine Lawrence also visited.
Teena, Andy & Monica entertained the children with their excellent fire show performance & also had fun with the children by making balloons, they later had dinner along with us. Mark & Trisha Pinto along with Matthew visited the House and spent some time with the children. They also donated Rs. 3000/- towards sponsoring Lunch for the children at Little Acorns.
Lynn & Derrick from UK brought 50 Kgs of Excess Baggage for our children. Marika & Olof Zingmark, Karina Sandstrom, sponsor came with gift for their sponsored child. Lesley Paterson & Tina visited and donated clothes.
Silha Talkar from New Mumbai visited. Sian & Lewis sponsor of Robica ID 667 visited her. Siwalai Dung Punta from Thailand visited and donated Rs. 1500. Tavendale from Scotland donated £100 towards computer. Janet Kent from UK sponsored Shilpa, a new child. Volunteer Mithali, Nathali & Christine came and spent time with the children everyday.
Terry & Linda brought fruit juice for the children. They also sponsored a child named Supriya ID 662. Zinsley John from England donated £100 towards the need list. Elizabeth & David donated Rs 2,500 towards the need list. Siwalai Tida donated Rs 1,500 towards the need list. Lawrence donated Rs 1000 towards need list. Dolige Laurence from New Delhi donated Rs 4000 towards need list. Paivi Hyvari from Finland brought X'mas gifts for all the children. Rutulal Shah brought Ice-cream for the children.
