As the girls had finished their exams, they were busy preparing for the Christmas Season and so also enjoying their Christmas holidays. The girls were eagerly waiting for the Christmas and the New Year. Some of them participated in the Christmas party held at Shanti Niketan School. The House was beautifully decorated by the Girls and staff making the House look very welcoming.

Some of our talented singers, who went for Carol singing practises, were Sheryl (449), Faith (353), Rachel (385) and Laxmi (206). They practised from the 15th till the 25th of December. The Carol singing children have done very well for the season. Around 24 children participated in singing Christmas Carols, thereby attracting donations and child sponsors.

There were plenty of visitors and sponsors who visited this month, Louise Forbes from England visited us. Sharon Woodcock, Deidre Davis, Chris and Wendy, Susana Mercier, Jean and Lewis and Tonny Warner came to visit their sponsored child. Maren Schulz from Germany, Mark and Jackie from Scotland, visited the House and spent some time with the children. Kaisa Kakku visited and accompanied us for lunch. Tania and Xavier from St. Xavier’s college visited the Home for their project work. 

Alex Coelho from Arpora, Steimfels Marc from Germany visited and donated money towards our need list. Monica, Montina and Andreas from Germany visited the House and spent time with the girls teaching them to make “Balloon animals”. They also joined for dinner along with the girls.

Some of the girls were treated for minor illnesses. About 10 girls went for a regular dental check-up.
