Monthly Report (Shekinah House)

Swanka attended the In-charge’s meeting held at Shanti Niketan. After the meeting, training was conducted for the In-charges which focussed on Effective communication, the training was conducted by Siddhi, the HR Executive. Shekar and Samay will be working with us as trainees.

We celebrated the monthly birthdays of four boys this month. All the boys cheerfully sang the birthday song for them. Siddhi came on an official visit and examined the maintenance of the Home and the overall running of the House.
During the month two trainings on two important topics were conducted for the boys by Incharge Swanka. A discussion on the importance and the benefits of wormi-compost was conducted. A talk on “The Role of Leadership” was also imparted to the boys.

The Election of the captain was held. Master Sanju (333) was elected as a captain at home for this year. Leader’s meeting was conducted for the first time with the elected Captain and leaders. We divided the boys into four different groups for the yearly activities. The group names are Europe, Africa, Asia and America.   

During the month the boys enjoyed lots of fun-filled activities and games held in the Home after School. The Monsoon Chess Championship (MSCC) was organised at Shekinah House. The four teams, America, Africa, Asia and Europe participated in the competition. After a tough battle among the four teams, Africa emerged as the winning team while Europe took away the place for runners-up. The Monsoon Groups Premiere League (MSGPL) championship was also held, here Africa won the game and Asia won the runners up. The Boys have also been attending football practices held at the Shanti Niketan School.                 
                              
Some of the boys were taken for various health problems and a routine check-up at the Asilo hospital. They were prescribed the necessary medication. They are recovering back to normal.
