Tremara Community Centre (August Update)
in

Heavy rainfall was witnessed during the month of August. There were many cases of viral flu among our children. Thus the attendance on some days was as low as 70 children. The Kindergarten classes were held as usual during the mornings. On rolls we have 100 children. The children relish the mid-morning meals provided to them at the centre. Due to the demand, we have an additional 30 children on rolls that come in the afternoons. Regular tuition classes were provided in the afternoons for 1st standard children who regularly attended.
A medical camp was organised on the 19th of August. Officials from the Health Centre of Betki came and gave Immunization. Injections like BCG, OPV, D.P.T, Heptitis B, Measles, M.M.R., T.T. and Vitamin A doses were given.
On 30th August a general meeting of all the parents of the children was held. The meeting was well attended by all. There were occasions when parents expressed their dissatisfaction to others and not to the staff. Thus, the meeting provided a healthy platform where their grievances were addressed. We also get an opportunity to speak into their lives.
On 31st August we had a Birthday celebrations of the children who celebrated their birthdays this month.
