House of Kathleen now has 52 children. Since most of the month was Diwali vacation. Some children enjoyed it with their family. The children at Home enjoyed playing various games and doing drawing and craft. During the holidays the bigger girls also came and played with the tiny tots and assisted the Staff. On the 22nd however the schools restarted and the children were back to School.

14th November 2010 turned out to be an exciting Children’s Day for the children at the House of Kathleen. Aged between 2-7 years, the children were visited by Shiv Sainiks who distributed cake, biscuits & sweets along with a lot of educational toys. More importantly they spent valuable and quality time with the children.

The month of October went by swiftly. The children enjoyed various activities held at school as well as at Home. As the tourist season has begun we had some visitors coming and interacting with the children and staff. Lanza visited and celebrated her daughter’s Birthday along with the children. Some other visitors who visited us were, Matthew Edgar, Payal Patel and Jemma Selves. Children were very excited to see them all and loved spending good time with them. Around five volunteers among them Sam, Sophie and Josephine regularly visited the Home this month.

Due to heavy monsoons Children have been mostly involved in playing indoor games after returning from School. Children enjoyed watching Cartoon movies at regular intervals. A new child named Karan was welcomed into the House this month.

A total of 48 children are currently residing at the House. Staff meetings were conducted regularly. Yamuna who is been working with us has also joined as a teacher at Shanti Niketan School.

House of Kathleen has been blessed with 47 angelic children. In all we received 25 new admissions while 8 boys were moved from HOK to Victory House and 7 girls were moved to Rainbow House. New raincoats, sandals, umbrellas, tiffin boxes, etc along with stationary were distributed to the children.

Two new children Shilpa ID 706 and Ritesh ID 709 have been admitted in the Home. As the Children had Christmas holidays for about a week from school, they had a good time playing and preparing for the Christmas season.
