LITTLE ACORNS (03/02/2012 - Weekly Report)

 

We conduct our daily routine staff meetings and our regular field work too. We have around 100 children daily present in our shelters who are very interested in learning different things. Joanna and Raju V. conduct the Non-Formal classes in the mornings for all the children. Anita Edgar and Ruth Bealing came and distributed sweets to the children. All our employees went to the beach for the fundraising event.  Raju conducted a cricket match. 2 of our children were taken to the health for a blood check up.

Little Acorns monthly report (May 2011)

Summer vacations are still on and only those children who didn’t go to their village were attending the shelter. Even in the slums school, the attendance was very poor as everyone is very much in their holiday mood. Vacations will be coming to a close shortly and school will reopen in the first week of June.

Little Acorns (Monthly Report)

This month we had 2 new admission - Vishal 5 yrs. and Soheel 4 yrs. November starts with most of the children going to their villages due to the Diwali vacation. The ones who stayed behind, mostly played in-door games (like dog and the bone, tossing the ring or Antakshari. Pinky conducted dancing classes for the girls or the children visited the beach to play football or cricket.

An average of 50 children attended the Shelter per day this week. Our field workers conducted field work in the slum area on a regular basis. Shankar visited the Homes of some of the slum children attending the Shelter and conversed with their family members.
Lavino attended the Shelter In-charge meeting held at Scan India.

VACCINATION DRIVE FOR DTP, POLIO, RUBELLA, TT WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE CHILDREN AT LITTLE ACORNS

We have a good number of children coming in. 65 of our children go to the Calangute Don Bosco High School, 7 of which are new admissions and were coached at our Shelter in the past.

December 09 Report: Little Acorns

 An average of 56 children attended the Shelter per day this month. There have been two new children, Saheli (6 yrs) Preaish (5 yrs) who are now coming at the Shelter.
