Victory House (September Update)
The Parent staff meeting was held at the Victory House Library on 11th September. Quite a number of parents attended the meeting and took their children home for the Ganesh vacation. The Victory House boys were very happy to go and spend some time with their family. A new child was admitted in the Home, he was later admitted in the Shanti Niketan School. Yeshu and Nagesh have been moved to Shekinah House to assist with the house work.
Victory House (August Update)
The House sheltered 58 children, three staff and four trainees during the month.
Leader’s meeting was held in the Cottage whereby various issues like leadership skills and responsibilities were discussed with the children. As the children were very influenced by the topic on leadership, they were provided with information on how they could become a good leader.
Johnny and Francis attended the In-charge meeting held at Rainbow House.
Fire Mock drill was conducted and all the children and staff participated in the drill.
Monthly Report (Victory House)
Around 60 children are residing at the House and are being looked after. During the month some of the boys have been moved to Shekinah House while some of the boys from Kathleen House have been moved to Victory House.
Children have been preparing for their first mid term examination during the month.Mock Fire drill was conducted on 22nd of the month. All the boys and the staff participated in the drill. The importance of a drill was explained to the boys.
HEALTH CHECK- UP OF BOYS CONDUCTED AT VICTORY HOUSE
The new academic year started with 65 children at Victory House. The children have by now shaken off the holiday mood and are now shifting their focus to studies. Two of our boys, (Ganesh & Rahul) are pursuing formal education at Candolim and are doing quite well. One of the boys, Savio, will be enrolled into the Montford Institute for skill based education which will equip him with skills to land a good job.
December 09 Report: Victory House
The boys were very excited for the Christmas season. Children prepared Christmas cards to give them to the visitors and sponsors. Many visitors visited the House and gave a donation in cash and kind. We are very thankful to all our kind sponsors and donors.
