Mundgod is the Taluka head. It is situated in Uttar Kannada (U.K.) and surrounded by a little less than 100 villages. Most of the are involved in agriculture. Due to unpredictable rainfall the people live in difficult circumstances. Developmental work progresses at snail’s pace. The local transportation is scarce and a “walk” is the most reliable mode.

On 21st March 2011, El Shaddai could distribute 10 bicycles to deserving individuals. The list of the beneficiaries is attached.

Every day El Shaddai realizes there is more to be done. This led us to identify places where we could implement a social change and increase the standard of living.

On 10th March 2011, 8 Jersey cows were distributed to families who live below poverty line. They were distributed in the neighbouring villages of Kolhapur. The Jersey cows are yet to give birth then they will yield plenty of fresh milk and provide a good source of income for their Families.

This center is in the middle of a township inhabited by migrant population. It is located about 3 miles from the capital city of Goa, Panjim. It is estimated to have a population of over 40,000.

 The center, inaugurated in March 2008, operates as a Pre-school from 9am to 12.30pm. Also we have a single batch of Nursery children coming during the afternoons. A total of 141 children attend classes.

SCAN is an acronym for STOP CHILD ABUSE NOW. It is a new project of El Shaddai CharitableTrust.
 
SCAN-India consists of experienced personnel and experts from the field of law, social work and psychology, who work with children who have been abused mentally, physically and emotionally.
