We would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart for all your love and support over the years. El Shaddai was’ born’ after Anita met Matthew and Julia one Sunday morning at a Church service in 1996 during two weeks holiday in Goa .

We rescued the first 15 children in 1997 and opened a small Children’s Home which was our humble beginning. Today we have over 3,500 children in our care in many States in India!! As we grew year after year we went through many ‘up’s and downs’, but its really wonderful to know the faithful support we still have from all who believed in us and trusted us from day one. We could not ask for more, how can we thank you enough?  You are truly part of our El Shaddai family!

Many of our first children who have completed College, University or Vocational Training are now qualified and out in the world maintaining good jobs.

Our vision is still moving forward. We are desperately trying to help with the massive annual migration problem. Our aim is to help poor families stay in their own villages, in their own States and not flood into Goa dragging their children around from place to place. Through our ‘Village Support’ we provide the help they need with Bore Wells for water so they can grown their own crops, we give families two goats so they have milk, manure and baby goats to sell, so an income generating project and by building Community Centres, children can receive an education and their mothers classes in health and hygiene, family planning and often tailoring and craft classes. Without this education there will be no way forward. We offer small loans to women in ‘self help groups’ where they can start small businesses, for example making and selling craft items.

El Shaddai is also involved in helping people set their own charities using our experience and knowledge so even more children can be helped throughout India.

I hope you like our ’Gift Catalogue’, yet another idea to help the less fortunate in our society in India today

Again, thank you and God bless you all,

Anita and Matthew
