Rainbow House
in

Rainbow House, our third Home in Assagao is situated next door to The House of Kathleen and just down the road from Shekinah House.

In 1999 Andreas Toscano, a farmer from Germany, while travelling through India heard about an English lady rescuing Street Children, so came to visit Shekinah House and met Anita. She introduced him to Matthew her co-founder and together they showed him around and talked about El Shaddai. He was very concerned about girls living on the streets and in the slums and wanted to help them.

After returning to Germany, he re-mortgaged his farm and invited Anita to come and collect a cheque to buy a beautiful Portuguese house in Assagao. It was bought in February of 2001 and his family named it Rainbow House.

Our girls aged 8 to 16 years stay at Rainbow House and all attend school. They also learn cooking, sewing, embroidery, tailoring, music and other household activities. Our dedicated staff help provide the love and care these children so desperately need.

Girls attending College, University or Vocational Training live at Rainbow’s End, a cottage situated behind Rainbow House.
