Shekinah House
in

Shekinah House meaning God’s Glory, which is for boys aged 13-16 years who all attend school, was the first house bought by El Shaddai. The volunteers worked day and night cleaning and painting to make it clean, bright and cheerful. It was opened in April 1999 in Assagao, a quiet tree-lined village known for its abundance of flowers. The house provides love and warmth for the maturing boys and with the help of the dedicated staff they gain self confidence. They have a large playing area and recently some playground equipment was donated by sponsors.

In the early days this was home to the girls as well until Rainbow House was ready for them, later the tiny tots moved to The House of Kathleen.

The boys move to Harvest, Colshaw Cottage (behind Victory House) or Laurel cottage (near Shekinah House) when they start College, University or Vocational Training.
