On the 28th, 30th, 31st January and on the 2nd February 2012 Kalpana Jadhav and Ashok Dodamani both Out Reach Workers went for their follow ups of their patients in Vasco, T.B.Hospital, Chimbel, Margao, Diwar, and Siridao.

We had 4 patients admitted, 5 patients discharged in the Community Care Centre for this week and we also had a total of 5 HIV patients examined at our OPD.
Laxmi from Rainbow House came for consultation.

This week the students of Shanti Niketan School were answering their re-examinations of the Second term. They began the day with the papers and later on revisions for the next day’s paper. In the afternoons they continued with normal activities like card-making, painting, tailoring, etc.

We conduct our daily routine staff meetings and our regular field work too. We have around 100 children daily present in our shelters who are very interested in learning different things. Joanna and Raju V. conduct the Non-Formal classes in the mornings for all the children. Anita Edgar and Ruth Bealing came and distributed sweets to the children. All our employees went to the beach for the fundraising event.  Raju conducted a cricket match. 2 of our children were taken to the health for a blood check up.

Our regular activities were done and around 723 children were treated in the slums as well as in the shelter. We helped many children in this week and many more new ones were given admission in our day care shelter. Our regular routine field work was done too in various different areas in and around Margao in search of children who need help. We received regular meals from ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ for this week. All are slum schools were running well this week.

We treated and average of 627 Children in our shelter as well as in the slums. Our classes were conducted regularly on different topics in our shelter and the slums. We organized Community health work in different places. All the children were taken for an outing and our field work and networking was done too.

Our daily routine staff meetings are being conducted at 9:30am. We are a total of 45 children and 5 employees present here. We attended a staff training meeting in our school –Shanti Niketan School, which was very helpful to us as we developed a lot of knowledge. The homes co-ordinator Fr. Johnny visited us and continued to motivate us as usual.
We helped raise money for our need list it includes; Our Office Chair, Weighing Machine and Glass No. 35 out of which we only received the Glass.

We are 40 children and 3 employees who are all doing very well. Our daily routine staff meetings are conducted. Fr. Johnny the homes in-charge visits us and motivates us to work better. Our girls who are above the age of 12 along with our cottage girls attend church every Sunday. Our daily routine deep cleaning is being conducted for our whole house.
The girls are very active in all their work and all other house work too. Agnelo along with Fr. Johnny visited us and checked all our house registers and all the other documents of the house.

VISITORS: Mrs. Patrick and Michelle Cousins from England visited us and donated Rs 7000 towards our need list for a washing machine.

SPONSORS: Mrs. Victoria Banks sponsors of Raja Basergi ID-676 and Mrs. Pekka Lento from Finland visited our home and gave some clothes and study material. Mr. Dave Lonlley from England the sponsor of Chandu Rathod ID-621 visited and donated some Jerseys for the El Shaddai Cultural Sports Club. Mrs. Elizabeth Danielson from Sweden visited and donated some clothes towards our home.

We conducted a group prayer meeting among the group members and the leaders. We did the deep cleaning of the house with the boys and the employees too. Francis took the leaders meeting with all group leaders of the house. Mandar took 30 boys to the beach along with the cottage boys to raised funds and find us new sponsors. Fr. Johnny checked the house and also conducted a staff meeting with all the employees. Anita Mother along with Ruth visited us and spent some time with the boys, saw the house and also interacted with everyone present here.

Our Co-Director Anita Edgar and our UK Trustee Ruth Bealing visited the little children in one of our shelters – Asha Deep. They interacted a lot with the children and helped them out in their lessons. The children were very pleased to see them both and took a lot of interest in what they had to say and do.
We have visitors and volunteers who came and spend time with the children, these children in turn feel very happy and loved when they get to know that someone has come to see them. They really feel delighted for during this time.
