Rainbow House monthly report (September 2011)
The Girls have returned from their Ganesh vacations and have enjoyed spending time with their family. New staff by the name of Srilekha has joined the House while Usha co-ordinates the House. Johnny also assisted in maintaining all official books in order. The NSS students from St. Xavier’s College visited the Home and spent time playing with the girls. In the evening, the girls spent their time cycling.
Walk of Hope.
This year’s Walk of Hope is from Exeter Cathedral to Gloucester Cathdral, from August 26th to September 4th
The aim is to walk a baton containing a message of hope to the children of India and through this to raise money and awareness to improve the lives of poor children and their communities.
Last year we walked from Land’s End to Exeter Cathedral.

Most of the Children have gone to their native village for summer vacation and only few of the children have been visiting the Shelter this month. The slum schools have stopped due to holidays and lack of children. They will be returning back by the end of May, as school academic year will be starting in June.
